Scribbles Illustration Studio

Scribbles Illustration Studio was founded in 1995 by award winning, Western Australian artist/illustrator, Malcolm Lindsay. The Perth based artist has been creating fine art pieces over many years, alongside his commercial illustration practice. A 2021 change of direction, has seen him retire from illustration, to concentrate on his fine art.

Malcolm Lindsay

Malcolm has been creating most of his life. At the age of 18 he started his career at Art Photo Engravers, a subsidiary of the Sunday Times Newspaper; as a graphic artist/illustrator. He spent the next nine years there, gaining experience & developing his skills. At this age he also started exhibiting his fine art. After hours studies during this period included, Illustration, design, printmaking & sculpture

Upon leaving Art Photo Engravers, he formed Shoestring Studio, with an associate,  offering a full design & illustration services. 1995 saw the wind down of Shoestring & the birth of Scribbles Illustration Studio.

Business & family commitments that followed, took him away from fine art for some time but more recent years have seen an enthusiastic return to exhibiting. Malcolm’s has work has found it’s way into collections across Australia & overseas.
